Clowns and Angels

Monday, October 31, 2005

This morning is one of those days when I really wish I'd brought my camera out with me.

My bus goes through the CBD from Queen Victoria Buildings, over the harbour bridge where it stops at North Sydney station before heading on to St. Leonards where I work. Here it's normal for a bunch of kids heading to the girls school about half way between the North Sydney and where I work to hop on (or rather jostle on) and disrupt my morning nap.

This morning was no different in that respect. What differed was the clothing. For some reason a large percentage of the year 12's (I gather) were dressed either as Angels (wings and tinsel over coat-hanger halos) or those creepy clown things with the very blushed cheeks, smudged lipstick and tears.

I have no idea what was going on but it made a change on a Monday morning.
