As some of you will know, I HATE SPIDERS! To be honest, I've only seen two (excluding those at Oceanworld) since we've been here, but that's not the point. You know that they're there, lurking in the darkness, or worse, on your toilet roll.
And for anyone that says "They're more scared of you", frankly I rather doubt that.

Say what you like, that's one big critter. Can grow to 16cm. Perhaps I now understand why there are so many Aussies in the UK.
