This week I've started using the pool in the building and I'm enjoying it. So far, it's been like having a private pool. Of course I'm using it in the morning, and usually around or before 0630 but still, it's better than I had expected.
It's warm too - not so warm that there's no sharp breath when you get in, but actually quite pleasent. I've never been a big swimmer; I splash, jump, dive and other such activities, but just swim? Never really done that.
The weather here this week has been wet and windy. Sometimes both at once. There's something strange about solitary swimming in an outside pool at six-thirty in the morning while it's throwing it down with rain and the pool has waves in it from the wind. I guess it must be a little like this if you go overboard and no-one notices.
The side of the pool facing the street is glass. More on that later.
