Bats again. They're fascinating and it seems impossible at this stage that I'd ever tire of watching them burst forth on their nightly foraging. Time will tell, but I seriously doubt it.

Of course, once our lease is up and we move (and that's looking more likely as the days go on) probably North and Eastwards, there won't be any more bats. So it's a question of making hay while the sunshines - or more aptly, the reverse. However, until that occurs, I can be spotted on our balcony at around eight o'clock, gazing skyward.

As an added bonus, Mars was very clear tonight. Of course, it looked like a tiny pink star and is thumbing its nose at me following the Opposition last week, but hey, he's playing understudy to the bats anyway.

Finally, I can't take credit for either of these pictures, much as I'd like too. I suspect that they've been attained through either a) an unholy pact with Satan, or b) lots of patience and so far, I have demonstrated neither.
