8.25 million. That's the price that a run down place overlooking the walkway between Manly and Shelly beaches. When we first got here, I think Gillian was shceduled to llok at, but cancelled after see int place.

It's quite a big section (though certainly not huge), and it's immediately apparent that that's what the developers are paying for, but this signals the demise of pretty much the last house in original state left on that stretch of the coast.

Along North Steyne where we live there are a couple of "original" places and these too must be worth a fortune. Two are up redevelopment, but there are older style buildings on them in prime waterfront positions and I don't see any of the new apartments being offered for less than $1m.

This is an expensive part of town and we'd love to buy this place, but it's never gonna happen unless there's some lotto action...
