Paper, scissors, rock

There's a non-stop party in my head, largely because it takes very little to amuse me.

Gillian has been out this afternoon at a wedding do-da, with Lu who along with Bryce have decided to go meringue on us next year. Meanwhile I've been at home re-organizing the spare room and partaking in a marathon Stargate SG-1 bout. I've owned the first five series on VHS, so I feel no problem in downloading the DVD rips.

After having watched (or at least, had on) 5 or 6 episodes, the tv this evening is something different. I started off with "First Wave" but really, that didn't do anything for me tonight. IMDB says it ain't bad, but then there's only 25 votes, so who knows? Perhaps after watching the 36 episodes I downloaded I'll have an informed viewpoint (not that ignorance has ever stopped me before).

So we ended up with Austin Powers in: Goldmember. It's silly but this particular movie stikes a chord given the "crazy Dutch bastard" and my time working for ABN Amro.

But what really did it was Austin and Mini-me doing rock, paper, scissors as silhouetes. Now, you have to see the movie to see why I think it's funny. More so when today when on our last Volleyball lesson they forced us to face off against strangers and I stepped forward to engage in paper, scissors, rock to determine who went first.

Stupid paper - everything beats paper :-( Should probably have asked Mini Me to step in instead.
