With my UK driving license I'm entitled to drive here for 12 months before sitting an exam becomes mandatory. So recently I headed to our local RTA office to swap my pink one (license that is) for a white and red one with a Warratah on it.
A simple form, a quick eye test and five minutes later the deed was done (are you listening DVLA?). I didn't even have to give up my UK license or have it invalidated in any way and as part of the process I finally got around to doing something that I'd meant to get sorted ages ago; ticking the everything box for organ donation.
Hopefully it won't come to that, but...
