Challenge

Friday, December 01, 2006

After saying in the this morning's post that the current leader of the federal labour party (Kim Beazley) wasn't much of a vote winner, today comes a leadership challenge from Kevin Rudd.

As I'm not eligible to vote here the horsetrading going on is pretty much irrelevant, but given the leadership changes in the political parties in the UK, a definite and decisive challenge even if ultimately unproductive is better than constant sniping and in-fighting.

I only really know one thing about Kim Beazley–he's a supporter of the Freemantle Dockers AFL side, the same that I've picked as my team to support (in the loosest sense, like nt actually watching any games) for no other reason that lots of good beer comes from way, way out west in Freo (Blue Tongue and Little Creatures)
