Less Chaos – more Bush Administration? | Wednesday, February 28, 2007 |
It has been decided that metropolitan Sydneysiders will get a public holiday on the 7th September when the APEC leaders meet in Sydney.
From the Sydney Morning Herald
“Sydneysiders will get their day off on Friday, September 7, to minimise traffic congestion when officials arrive.”
It seems that they also plan to close some of the CBD railway stations that weekend for major track work.
Last weekend when Dick Cheney visited there were temporary closures of main roads, including the Harbour Bridge, but it is unclear whether that was because of the risk of stray bullets.
I am wondering what is covered by ‘Metropolitan’ and whether St Leonards and Lane Cove will be included.
