"Don't be disappointed. If you want to walk across the bridge on March 18 you must register. Go to www.ourbridge.com.au and select a timeslot, or you can phone 1300 884 899. Your free registration will be confirmed by email. Allow one hour to complete the walk. The walk is for everyone. Milsons Point station has a lift and there are Easy Access Facilities at Circular Quay, Wynyard, Town Hall and Central Stations"
So the bridge is 75 years old and it seems that the authorities are expecting enough people to want to walk across it that they're allocating time slots. I'd be tempted to say that they're crazy, but given the huge numbers of people that turned out to see the boat a couple of weeks back, perhaps many thousands really will turn up.
As this may suggest, I won't be one of them.
