The perils of vanity | Tuesday, May 29, 2007 |
Google alerts is great. Set it up with a search term of your choosing, choose the scope and the frequency with which the results should be mailed to you, sit back and wait.
Amongst others, I have a vanity alert to find out what I, or my namesakes have been upto.
Most often I get old news articles on technical matters that I posted years ago and that have for some reason just been re-indexed. On other occasions I get something about the guitarist from Melanies Red Fleece or other guitarist related stuff from a namesake in the UK.
Today I found out that I was killed in action in the US civil war.
Sobering thought.
