6 years old | Tuesday, September 11, 2007 |
Our house is 6 years old today. I suppose the age is somewhat fluid but September 11th is the day we intended to move in.
Through a combination of inefficiency and world events we didn't actually cross the threshold until the 12th having stopped to re-connect the TV and watch what unfolded in the USA, but today is the day that I consider to be 'it'.
Also, after 6 weeks I'm more than half way home, typing this from the airline lounge in a humid Singapore (which co-incidentally features heavilly in the autobiograph of Clarissa Dickson-Wright that I picked up at Heathrow)
