Following on from here we saw Trans America a somewhat unlikely story about a pre-op transexual who days' before going under the knife for the final alteration discovers that (s)he has a son.What follows is something along the classic road-trip movie theme albeit one with "a woman, playing a man, trying to be a woman" overtone.
Not being much of a one for Desperate Housewifes (at least the ones on TV), I had not realised that Felicity Huffman is one of the principal characters. Anyway, I didn't figure it out, and the picture below didn't help. I naturally assumed that she'd be the tall one with the great big transvestite hands in the middle. Gillian tells me not. This fact alone will serve as good reason not to get drunk in Thailand.
In any event, there were quite a few laughs from the audience - not least of all when bats flew across the screen and looked like a moustache.As a bonus, this time the rain held off too (someone apparently turned on a cyclone in the park though as the last 10 minutes were almost in a gale. Better than wet though)
